Attorney Steve Sumner was inducted as a member of the South Carolina Bar in 1992, upon his graduation from law school at the University of South Carolina. Steve is currently authorized to practice in all state and federal courts in South Carolina, along with the Federal Appeals Court in Virginia.

Steve served as a state court prosecutor from 1992 through 1994. During his time as a prosecutor, Steve handled and prosecuted numerous drug possession and drug trafficking cases. This experience gave Steve the opportunity to develop his court room skills in the trial of drug cases, and it also gave him valuable experience in how police officers, agents and prosecutors prepare the presentation of drug cases.

In 1995, Steve opened his own practice as a criminal defense attorney. Since that time, Steve has served as a guest lecturer for magistrates, judges, law enforcement officers and prosecutors on numerous occasions.

He currently is available for representation in over 25 court venues including: Greenville, Anderson, Spartanburg, Pickens and Laurens counties; as well as the city/municipal courts of Greenville, Anderson, Spartanburg, Simpsonville, Greer, Fountain Inn, Easley, Clemson, Central and Laurens.
